before i forget - if you read this blog even semi-regularly, follow it. i think it's on the right hand side. click follow. it helps me keep track of who's reading and it means i can read your stuff too. come out of the woodwork, pals.
uhhh so where did i leave off...IHOP? i forget what happened after that. i've been keeping a strict 6am-1pm sleeping pattern. pretty good for me. been working my way through 1001 movies you must see before you die. i counted and i'm coming up pretty short...only seen like 280 or so of them. sighin. working on the rest though, i assure you. my mind is actually a bit scrambled at the moment. URGH NO.
i've just been watching films and eating. and a bit of hanging out. not much else. i am turning into a couch potato.
i watched...uhh...sliver? wasn't very good. phillip noyce dropped the ball. some cool scenes but not enough. shivers, cronenberg. his first movie. not that great either. promising and gross but not great. the 1997 tv version of 12 angry men. william friedken directed it. impressive casting (jack lemmon, james gandolfini, george c. scott etc.) and it follows the original teleplay pretty closely if not precisely. it seems a little useless though, lumet's version is still as affecting and relevant as it always was.
i've listened to you fail me by converge a whole slew of times over the last few days. i think it's my favourite album by them. it has a feeling none of the others have, except maybe jane doe. on no heroes/axe to fall they've gotten really clever and the albums are great, but you fail me still really gets me. i remember waiting ages for it to come out and being super stoked when it did. i preordered it and got the lithograph and all. what a fanboy.
catch.
